Renotta Warren Obituary (1981 - 2014)

Renotta "Shortcake" Warren-Smith, 33, of Frederick, Maryland, returned to her heavenly home on Monday, October 6, 2014. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Renotta was born to Donnell Warren and Wendy Whiten of Maryland on July 31, 1981. Renotta is survived by her husband, Rudolph Smith; son, Michael Smith; stepson, Bryson Franklin; stepdaughter, Tajah Smith; two sisters, Markeeta and Sareeka Whiten; three nieces, Sienna, Christianna and Lauryn; her beloved grandmother, Catherine; mother-in-law, Sabrina Watson; and several in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was blessed with a large and loving family and countless close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael T. Whiten, and two children, Ava and Logan Smith. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD, with a viewing at 9 a.m., the family receiving friends at 10 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway (US Route 15 North), Frederick, MD, 21701. A private repast will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations/cards can be sent to Wendy Whiten at 8754 Beacon Circle, Walkersville, MD 21793.
