Linwood Eugene Dorsey Obituary (1930 - 2020)

Linwood Eugene Dorsey, son of the late Hezekiah and Ellen Jane Dorsey, was born on September 2, 1930. Linwood passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020. He loved the Lord. Linwood attended school in Montgomery County, MD. He was employed by Montgomery County Public School and Montgomery College Rockville Campus, Rockville, MD, where he eventually retired. He was a resident of Frederick, MD at the time of his passing. Linwood loved the Washington Redskin and loved watching them and the Baltimore Ravens win on Football Sunday. He would tease Dallas Cowboy fans and his youngest son especially when they lost. He enjoyed being with his family listening to music (especially Gospel music) and singing along. He loved helping his family, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed family gatherings. Linwood leaves to cherish his memory his: loving wife, Frances Dorsey; 3 sons, Linwood (Ulrike), Hugh (Paula) and Melvin (Rick); daughter, Brenda Dorsey; 4 grandsons, Adrian, Ryan (Claudia), Patrick, and Brian Dorsey; great granddaughter, Camden Dorsey; 2 great grandsons, Mason and Myles Dorsey; mother-in-law, Mary V. Brown; brother, Horace Dorsey; sister-in-law, Idella Dorsey; brother-in-law, George Brown; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his: parents Hezekiah and Ellen Jane Dorsey; 3 sisters, Evelyn Emery, Ethel Dorsey and Viola Epps; and 6 brothers, William, Maynard, Bailey, Earl, Thomas, and Ellis Dorsey.
