Obituary Fannie Mary Etta Lyles was born on May 14, 1939 in Frederick, Maryland to the late Robert Morris and the late Fannie Butler-Morris.She was the youngest and only daughter of the couple's nine children.Preceding her in death are brothers Charles (Camilla), Sylvester and Bernard (Connie). Mary Etta lived most of her younger life in Brunswick/Burkittsville and Frederick and was educated in the Frederick County Public School system.After marrying her life partner, Teddy Lyles, Sr., she moved to Montgomery County, Maryland, where the two raised their family. Mary Etta, a member of Redeeming River Church, was a God-fearing woman who exemplified the virtuous woman of which Proverbs 31 is written.She had a very strong faith and desired that everyone she knew and loved have a personal relationship with Christ.More than anything, she enjoyedspending time with her family during anniversary, birthday and holiday celebrations. Most who knew Ms. Etta, which is what most called her, knew her to be a generous, kind, loving and nurturing woman.In addition to caring for and raising her own family, she spent many years as a caregiver to several families that were near and dear to her heart. Mary Etta is survived by husband and life-partner, Teddy Lyles, Sr., brothers Robert (Louise), John Henry (Tata), Joseph, Paul (Geraldine) and Thomas (Sylvia), children William Morris (Stacy), Kathryn Gross (Russell), Theresa Lyles, Teddy Lyles, Jr., Rev. Thelma Nolan (Irvin), Charles Lyles, Sr., (Sherry), nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews, plus a large extended family.
