Dewayne Walker Obituary (1969 - 2016)

Dewayne Earl Walker, 46, was born on December 20, 1969, in Natchez, MS, to late James Franklin and Julia A. Walker. Dewayne attended North Natchez High School in Natchez, MS. He was a Christian and attended Embrew Baptist Church in Woodville, MS. On October 10, 1989 he joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on October 9, 1992. During his time in the U.S. Navy, he traveled the world as a Mess Specialist. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for approximately twenty years. He moved to Frederick in 1997, were he remained until his time of death. Dewayne was married to Renee Downing and shared six years of amorous marriage. Dewayne was a mail carrier, a sports fanatic, loved fishing and spending time with his cherished children and family. He continued his culinary skills by sharing his tasty dishes with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Marcellus Dominic Walker, Javaren Nicholas Purnell (Angela), and Kiara Danielle Walker; siblings, James Walker (Genetter), Tyrone Walker, Larry Franklin, Dorothy Minor (Willie), Kim Christmas, and Monique Hall; special sister-in-law, Diania A. Walker; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Arthur L. Walker, Johnny Franklin, and Josephine Franklin; special niece, Candice Walker; and several uncles and aunts.
