Clarence Edward Allen Obituary (1927 - 2017)

Clarence Edward Allen, 89, was called to eternal rest, August 11, 2017, after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 10, 1927, and was the son of the late Myrtle Holland and Marshall Allen. Before retiring and moving to Maryland from New York, he was employed as a staff assistant at New Rochelle Hospital. Clarence being the last of his immediate family was affectionately under the care of his niece Kathy. He always had a joyful personality and loved everyone around him. Known for his corny jokes, he loved to sing and talk, talk and talk. What a wonderful spirit he had, and never let his disability of being blind and paralysis steal his joy. He leaves to mourn his niece, Kathy Ford (Thomas), of Frederick; nephews, David Nickens (Jennine), of Florida, and Clarence Nickens Jr, of PA; niece, Wendi Jackson of Hagerstown; sister, Betty Brown; uncle, Merle Allen; and several great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Allen; sister, Lillian Nickens; and brother-in-law, Clarence Nickens, Sr.
