Chaz Whittaker Obituary (1987 - 2019)

Chaz Kyle Whittaker (aka Chazzy, Hubba, Bill, and Carl's Shadow) was born on June 19, 1987 in Frederick, MD, the son of Reginald and Pamela Lee Whittaker. He departed this life on December 25, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center. He was baptized at an early age at Hopehill United Methodist Church and was a member there until his passing. Chaz attended Urbana High School and Smithsburg High School. He completed his GED Hagerstown Community College. His career opportunities led to a position as Material Handler Technician by trade. Chaz was a fan of the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Nationals. He always liked to play basketball and go swimming the warm sunshine. In his free time, he listened to all types of music, including R&B, Pop, Rap, and Country. He also enjoyed playing video games and reading. He always had a move for dancing with Ivy and watching Disney movies. His favorites included morning prayer, coffee, coffee with caramel macchiato, and Oreo birthday cake cookies. In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish precious memories his: grandmother, JoeAnn Lee; daughter, Ivy Whittaker; longtime companion, Miranda Harshman; four aunts, Deborah Gordon, Jacqueline Whittaker, Sharon Whittaker, and Linda Worthington; three uncles, Donald Whittaker, Jr., Corby Lee and Melvin Worthington, Jr.; and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his: grandparents, Donald Whittaker, Sr., Catherine Whittaker and Carl M. Lee; and his uncle, Thomas Gordon. Funeral services will be held on Sat., Jan. 4, 2020 at Jackson Chapel UMC, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD with visitation at 11:45 a.m. and the funeral following at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Hope Hill UMC c/o Chaz Whittaker.
