Charles Arthur Holliday Sr. Obituary (1934 - 2020)

God called Charles Aurthur (Sonny) Holliday Sr., home October 16, 2020. He was born February 6, 1934 and was the son of the late Mary Cecilia Holliday and John C. Hare; grandson, of the late Frank and Mary Holliday. Charles served in the U.S. Army for eight years and was honorably discharged. Charles worked for the Montgomery County Liquor Board as a supervisor for twenty-one years until his retirement due to disability. Charles leaves to cherish his memory: children, Glenda Ann Brightful, Charles "Chuckie" Holliday, Jr. (Donna), and Paula Holliday; grand-children, Chowan Brightful, Isiah Brightful (Andrea), Latasia Ambush, Angel Holliday, Toccara Holliday, Kashaka Cartnail, Jairus Williams, Brandy Brady, Travis Bowins, Poneyboy Browns, and Xavier Bowins; twenty-eight awesome great-grandchildren; sister's, Katherine Bowens, Betty Bowie (Gilbert), and Rose McClary Jones (Sib); brother, Robert Holliday (Martha); and special friend in Christ, Kevin Brightful. In addition to his parents and grandparents, Charles is preceded in death by his: grandson, Charles Holliday III; and sister, Helen Reid Nelson.
