Carrie E. Thomas Obituary (1909 - 2013)

Carrie E. Thomas, 103, of Frederick, MD, died peacefully on Thurs., May 30, 2013.Born Aug. 24, 1909, in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late Singleton Gray and Alverta Thomas Fossett. She was employed by the Community Health Facilities, Inc. in Baltimore MD for many years.Her hobbies included babysitting, cooking, and crossword puzzles. Surviving are: a brother, Herbert Thomas; sister-in-law, Marva Thomas; grandchildren, Gloria (David) Smith, Barbara (Anthony) Jackson, Judy Williams, and Olllie Williams; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She will also be remembered by: devoted friends, Mr. and Mrs. Heard, Charles Brown Jr., Jane Ann Jones, Damon Rawlett.The family wishes to give special thanks to her nieces, Loretta Snowden and Bernice Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: a son, Albert (Helen) Hoy; daughter, Octavin (Charles) German; two sisters and two brothers. Rev. Ernest Thomas will officiate the funeral services with Presiding Elder Ollie Williams. Interment will be at the Maryland National Memorial Park in Laurel, MD.
